HISTORY[]
Dr. Aurora James was born in New Orleans, LA and is the eldest child of Ari Blaque and Angeline Blaque. She attended college at Indiana University where she majored in Anthropology and minored in Art with a focus on sculpting. Aurora’s parents were murdered in a botched robbery of a gas station. After her parents deaths, she and her younger sister Dominique aka Ivory Blaque were estranged. When her grandmother died in Hurricane Katrina while visiting relatives, Aurora saw her sister for the first time in years. She blamed Dominique for abandoning their grandmother and breaking her heart.
Shortly after graduating from college, Aurora met and married Brandon James and the couple had three children, Kaylah, Jamal and Kennedy. After nearly twenty years of marriage, Aurora and Brandon divorced. She moved to Chicago to help a recently widowed cousin—Dr. Jaymes “Jayme” Boudreaux—with his infant daughter. While living in Chicago, she rekindled a relationship with a college sweetheart—Jazz Fitzgerald—to whom she eventually became engaged. Aurora also came to work for Dr. Blaque as a field investigator with the Preternatural Crime Scene Unit, a secret government C.S.I. Team which investigates preternatural murders.
